Hosted in multiple spaces across the hybrid-by-design convention centre
The six-part series, which streamed live on LinkedIn and YouTube every Wednesday from 02 June – 07 July took a deep dive into how organisations can maximise virtual, hybrid and in-person events to engage their people and clients.
The Virtual Delegate would not have been possible without the real collaboration with my friends at ICC Belfast. Whether it was deciding who our guests were, challenging our guests to bring controversial, stretching, and interesting views as well as hosting us in what is an utterly breath-taking venue. It is simply unequalled.
David Meade, International Keynote Speaker
Meetings industry heavyweights based across three continents in destinations including New Zealand, UAE and Israel joined David virtually in Belfast to share their thoughts on what they think will give event organisers a competitive advantage as we look beyond the pandemic. Episode themes included ‘Killer Content’ and ‘Tackle Your Tech’. No topic was off-limits as David probed the panel to speak candidly about their successes, as well as the mistakes they had to make along the way to reach that point.
The panel’s breadth of industry knowledge and experience was incredible week after week. Guests from globally renowned organisations including MCI Group and Kenes Group provided insights into maximising the opportunities a hybrid future presents. EY’s Chief Economist for Ireland spoke on how embracing technology has allowed them to accelerate growth in certain areas and closer to home ICC Belfast’s Head of Technical Production discussed why taking a bespoke approach to every event and tailoring it to specific KPIs ensures maximum satisfaction and best value for money.
As a hybrid-by-design venue, ICC Belfast was well equipped to host The Virtual Delegate. Episodes were broadcast from the purpose-built Hybrid Studio, the stunning 2,000-seater Main Auditorium as well as the Bars, which offer panoramic views of Belfast city centre.
We have broadcast technology in every single space, and we have invested in training our people to make sure that they can maximise the kit that we’ve got.
Oonagh O'Reilly, Director of Sales and Marketing ICC Belfast
The adoption of hybrid approaches is set to stay having grown exponentially during the pandemic. Now is the time to give teams the power to choose how they want to be communicated to. There is no ‘one-size fits all’ when it comes to people or clients and events are no different. To maintain a competitive advantage, serve global audiences, enhance relationships and build new ones, innovative solutions must be implemented.
